Working from a model, artists will have a chance to work on timed poses of varying length. No, instruction, just time to draw.
Basic Drawing Practice (Date and Time Pending)
Join us in the studio for some basic drawing time. Tom Mullany will talk about how he uses sketching and drawing in his art, look at examples of many artists’ work, and discuss what makes a good drawing. The group will then run through some exercises in sketching that will focus on the practice of seeing ( many known already from the classic book, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain) This class will be somewhat fast paced ( not lingering too long on finished drawings) It will cover basics for beginners but can also function as a jump start and practice time for any artist. $30. Supplies will be provided for $40. Includes sketchbook and some drawing tools to take home Here to register.

Mullany Art Studios / The Studio School 
I moved to Flint Hill about 6 months ago and was told by a local artist that Mullany Studios has figure drawing in the evenings sometimes. If so, may I get a little information? Thank you!
Hi Lise! Just saw your comment here. We do have figure drawing maybe once a month but not on a regular basis, sometimes more often. There’s also another group in Rappahannock too has sessions as well. If you send me your email, I’ll add you to a list and you can recieve notices when one or the other of us runs a session. Also stop by our Studio Open House on September 30th 5-8pm and say hello!
