In this workshop we will be exploring basic hand stitching for mark making, and creating original art works. Beth will cover stitching basics including running stitch, back stitch, seed stitch and couching. We will experiment with changing, and combining stitches, to see the endless possibilities. The workshop includes all the supplies and knowledge to inspire the student in creating their own unique voice in stitch.
Cost: $45 all class supplies included, plus small take home packet of supplies included as well. Link to register below.

Beth Schmaltz
After 30 years of federal service Beth “rewired” (not retired) to a new career in the arts. She specializes in contemporary hand stitching, felting, and mixed media, as expressive art mediums. Her other interests are photography and traveling which inspire her creativity. She has been published in “Quilting Arts Magazine” and
has created events at a local winery bringing creative joy through textile art.
